If You Only Knew sheds insight into AYo’s past as a 16 year old high school graduate as he juxtaposes his experiences with prejudice which later transforms into being a victim of racism in the form of “Slim”, the nickname for Trayvon Martin. AYo questions the notion of belief and hard-work getting one far in life, if it can be cut short by the malicious actions of others. ADD 2’s presence on the song cleverly brings the entire story full circle as he gives context to the societal ills that AYo eloquently introduces at the onset.

Weaved over the production of UK based super-producer, Dario Darnell (a.k.a YoungR) and the mixing brilliance of Geogre “Cylon” Casseus of Digital Harmonics, If You Only Knew delivers on both its lyrical and sonic aspirations.
